Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day is an important day in our communities. November 11th at 11AM commemorates the end of World War I in 1918. The day gives us all an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifice and service of those in the Canadian Armed Forces. Taking part in a Remembrance Day Service, donating to the local legion and wearing a poppy or simply taking a minute to reflect at 11AM are all ways that our communities can show honour to those that are working towards peace in Canada and around the world. 

Some of our locations will have a Remembrance Day Wreath on display leading up to Remembrance day, as well as a poppy donation box. The funds raised go directly to the local legions, we appreciate any support our guests show to the local legions during this time.

Light Up Westlock and Christmas Parade

Kick off the holiday season in Westlock with the annual Light Up event and Christmas Parade! This festive evening features the official light up of downtown, a cheerful parade through downtown, and plenty of seasonal magic for all ages.

Barrhead Light Up & Polar Parade

The holiday season begins with Barrhead Light Up & Polar Parade, one of the most festive nights of the year. Main Street comes alive with sparkling floats, music, and holiday lights as the community gathers to welcome winter.

Santa's Workshop

Pembina West Co-op is excited to bring Santa and his workshop back to Barrhead! Join us on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at the Barrhead Elementary School Gym.

Enjoy a free photo with Santa, and then the little ones can join his elves in the workshop to shop for a special surprise for their parents!
